The goal of Nelson
Thornton, P.C. is to provide professional and comprehensive community planning
services to local governments in West Tennessee. We believe in community planning as a means to improving communities
and making them more livable. We are professionally-trained city planners
who look at needs and problems comprehensively and offer solutions in the most cost-effective manner.
A strength of our company is that we reside and have our office in
Jackson and focus on West Tennessee. This proximity maximizes our
ability to respond to client needs. The company has a personal
commitment to improving the region in which we live.
We offer
the following services to cities and counties:
- Grant-writing
and project administration. Projects include public infrastructure,
housing, transportation, and recreation. Grants include funds from
Tennessee Housing Development Agency, Tennessee Department of Economic
and Community Development, Tennessee Department of Conservation,
and others.
- Planning services
to include the development of comprehensive and strategic plans
or the creation and/or administration of zoning and subdivision
regulation
